July 18th - I was greeted with a cease and desist letter today from World Wrestling Entertainment requesting that I not use the names Molly Holly, Victoria, and Sunny, as they are owned by the WWE. WWE is worried that I might try to label myself as the WWE and did not want any confusion in the eyes of consumers. Well I'd like to openly address Mr. Vince McMahon and Taryn Looney from the WWE legal department. I am flattered that you see me as a threat however by no means do I want to be viewed as a WWE product. In January of 2004 the WWE sent their Smackdown roster to the DECC arena in Duluth for a house show. This event was headlined by Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Rey Mysterio, among others whom are all property of the WWE (that is for you Taryn :-D). Their crowd was terrible and barely drew 1,000 people that night. Fast forward to 2008...I booked a main event featuring Mick Foley and Terry Funk, and an assortment of talent formerly employed by the WWE and drew just over 1,080 fans. I thought we did fairly well for an independent company but how the hell does WWE, a company with millions of dollars in advertising, sponsorship, and a massive TV deal, explain the turnout they had at the DECC? No offense...I don't want to be viewed as the WWE. I want to be viewed as the alternative in this area to the WWE. I am providing a product that includes quality wrestling, a fan friendly atmosphere where fans can meet the stars, and ticket pricing that is affordable for all families. Fans no longer have to group together behind arenas and be snubbed by their favorite stars. They can come to Heavy on Wrestling and meet some of their favorites from past and recent history. I very much understand WWE's position but the LAST thing I want to be is the WWE and I think the fans will benefit from my line of thinking.
Don't drink and drive!

February 16... I have decided to start a blog exclusive to this website. I know what you are thinking...AWESOME! I will periodically update current news involving Heavy on Wrestling so check back from time to time!

I got a call from Terry Funk this morning and found out that his mother had passed away this week. I was saddened to hear the unfortunate news and my condolences go out to the whole Funk family. In true "Funker" fashion he managed to stay somewhat positive and invited me to attend his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. No one in this business deserves to be in the HOF more than Terry Funk and I hope to be there for his induction.

I received a somewhat positive call involving a potential deal with Black Bear Casino in Cloquet, MN. I hope to have Heavy on Wrestling booked there this year. Cloquet has not had wrestling since 1999!

It has been officially announced all over the internet that Heavy on Wrestling will have the Iron Sheik in attendance at F1rst Wrestling on March 20th in Minneapolis. I highly suggest you check the even t out even if you are not interested in meeting the Sheik. 7pm doors will open at First Ave . night club across from the Target Center. I have some of the best nights out at these shows so please check it out!

I’d also like to discuss getting booked with Heavy on Wrestling. I HIGHLY recommend you do not confront me and ask “when are you going to book me?” I book people who respect promoters and that is a comment that is very disrespectful. I am all for rotating talent and keeping things fresh but I will be the one that will confront the talent about working for me. Sorry to sound blunt but some things just annoy me.

Lastly, I am very excited about upcoming Heavy on Wrestling projects. Our website should be finished soon and we have some HUGE plans in the works for future events. Be sure to check the website for future updates!!!!

I am gonna grab a beer… talk soon.
